Virtual Airchecks Grading System Definitions

 

  A - Exceptionally good performance, demonstrating a superior understanding of on air execution, relevance, localism, and entertainment. Shows skillful use of audio elements and command of studio console expertise.

 

  B - Good performance, demonstrating capacity to use the elements for an entertaining and informative program. A good understanding of the concepts in relating to the listening audience.

 

  C - Adequate performance, demonstrating an adequate understanding of the fundamentals of a quality on-air radio show. Demonstrates an ability to execute the basics and is adequately prepared for moving on to more advanced work in the field.

 

  D - Minimally acceptable performance, demonstrating at least partial familiarity with the fundamentals of acceptable on air program. Also demonstrating deficiencies serious enough to make it inadvisable to proceed further in the field without additional work.

 

  F - Failed. This grade signifies that the air talent is not meeting the minimum standards for good on air performance. Advised to continue intense practice and training to improve skills.
